[FAQ] What FTP Client should I use?
« on: March 22, 2004, 09:07:31 pm »

Q: What FTP Client should I use?

A: My personal favorite is FlashFXP, but it is not free. Here are some free alternatives:

SmartFTP: http://www.smartftp.com
FileZilla: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net
gFTP: http://gftp.seul.org/ (UNIX)
IglooFTP: http://www.iglooftp.com/windows/ (Windows / UNIX)

And of course the built in command-line FTP client in UNIX and Windows (ftp)  Cool

yeah I'd use that one and it should be installed on most systems. it's also on this host Wink so anyway for windows i don't really know any good free ftp client. CuteFTP is nice but not free.

I now use gFTP since I don't use Windows at all anymore. ncftp is also great.
